Strawberry Kush Feminized is 70% indica and 30% sativa, known for its distinctly sweet strawberry aroma and flavour. Created by crossing Strawberry Cough with OG Kush, this strain delivers strong effects and excellent yields, especially from the taller phenotypes.
Growth pattern
Although indica-dominant, Strawberry Kush displays several desirable sativa traits. Phenotype variation mainly affects height and flowering time, while bud structure remains consistent. Indoors, the flowering period is 7–10 weeks, and plants often triple in height.
Experienced growers often select taller phenotypes for maximum yields. Originally available only as a clone, many still prefer growing from cuttings.
Seed-grown plants perform very well as long as growers account for the significant height gain, making the strain suitable for greenhouses or sunny outdoor environments.
Strawberry Kush responds well to ScrOG, SOG, super-cropping and lollipopping. Upper branches rise sharply and merge with the main cola, so trimming lower branches is recommended.
During flowering, calyxes quickly cover node gaps, forming long, dense, resinous colas. The aroma may become noticeable before harvest.
Taste, aroma and effect
Some of the best phenotypes develop pink pistils that turn deep red. The dried buds look exotic and smell intensely of strawberries.
When properly cured, the flavour becomes even sweeter and more powerful. This is a highly potent strain delivering a deeply relaxing indica body-buzz combined with a joyful, uplifting sativa high.
